New to University
We’re privileged to be part of a thriving University City. It means we get to rub shoulders with some great young men and women from all over the world.
Our aim is that every student who comes through our doors quickly realises that this is a family that he or she can become part of.
Many of the students who attend our public meetings get involved in church life. We encourage each student to join a small group and to serve in some way, appreciating that some will be involved in student ministries (C.U.s) on their campuses. We have a worship team, media team, a prayer team, a homeless outreach team, practical helps days, children’s ministries, CAP follow-up team plus many more. Plenty to get involved in!
As we look to plant Church in the Home around the city, we want to see students becoming part of these groups too. It’s important to us that, whether for three years or longer, students feel connected and at home in Christians Alive, and that they grow spiritually. This is more important to us than putting on a programme designed for students. We love it when we students graduate with a greater passion for Jesus than when they first arrived in Lancaster, and we are constantly amazed at what he is doing through them all around the world today.
We also love it when they stay here with us in Lancaster. That’s always a great reward!
Whoever you are, whatever nationality, you are welcome. At White Cross we have regular student lunches and opportunities to eat in people’s homes, so you can get to know each other and the church better.
If you’re a student in Lancaster or you will be moving to Lancaster, why not get in touch?
