Internationals
Welcome to Lancaster! We are excited to be a community of people from many nations and ethnic groups and look forward to welcoming you into our family! Whether you are interested in becoming a part of our church family during your stay in Lancaster or just here to have a look, we hope this information will be useful to you.
Sunday Morning Services
We meet together on Sunday mornings at 10am at our Christians Alive Church Centre, White Cross, Lancaster.
We sing modern songs of praise to God, listen to someone teach from the Bible and hear some notices about church activities. If you have children, we also run age-appropriate activities for them.
Our service finishes at around 12noon, after which we love to spend time getting to know one-another over a hot cup of tea or coffee and biscuits! We also often host a student lunch after the service during term time. We would love you to join us! Come and have a look!
The International Café
The International Café meets at St Thomas’ Centre, Marton Street, Saturdays 7.30pm – 9.30pm. This is an exciting meeting place in the centre of Lancaster for international students and families from overseas. Here you can make friends, practise English, learn about other cultures and have fun! Transport is available from Lancaster University Chaplaincy Centre at 7.10pm. The International Café is run by volunteers from many churches across Lancaster. For more information visit our Facebook group: ‘International Café Lancaster’, or contact Esther Green at lancaster.i.cafe@gmail.com.
